Be careful, the governor issued a statement saying that troopers are going to start cracking down on people going even just a couple miles an hour of the speed limit

And we wonder why they never actually solve real crime... because they are instructed to generate revenue. not to mention the fact that they are completely worthless.
Buy a Radar built in to the Grille of your car from Escort Radar. I'd rather give anyone money besides the stupid worthless cops. Best investment ever made. I have one in every car I own. Even blocks Lazer. I think it's called an Escort 8500i now, the best one was the Qi45 and you can probably find one on amazon or ebay.
The funniest is when the stupid pigs shoot you with the laser and it gets jammed and they just have a stupid look on their face when you cruise by going the speed limit. Useless idiots.

Cops have always been about revenue generation for the municipality they work for and especially themselves. My bother-in-law was an upstate cop for 25 years and all he was worried about was picking up good paying part-time jobs as security etc. Cops today with their buzz cuts and mode of dress think they're an extension of the military.

Just once I would like to see a cop pull an aggressive driver,who just threatened my life, over and not give him a ticket. Instead, take a pair of scissors and cut up their license. I have never seen an aggressive driver pulled over period, but thank goodness they will pull you over for 2-3 over the limit. I usually drive 5 miles over the speed limit because that reduces the number of times my life is threatened from when I drive the speed limit.

Left Durham today from the cancer center and the normal 3 hour and a few minute drive back to West Columbia was four hours. Just hope some of that was Easter traffic.

They release that same statement every year. Nothing changes and they aren't about to clog the courts with people fighting speeding tickets for going 3 mph over the limit.
Been in Raleigh for 13 years, drive 8-10 mph over wherever I go and I've never been pulled. Even after getting hit with a radar gun.

NC Hwy Patrol and the spokesman stated nothing has changed in terms of enforcement. He claimed he wasn't even aware that the Governa had made the comment.
Guy basically said we aren't wasting our time pulling you over for going 1mph over speed limit.

I was on I-40 several times today and they were pulling people over left and right between Clemmons and Bermuda Run and between Winston-Salem and Kernersville too.
Normally people drive between 74&79 on the interstate in 65 & 70 mph zones. If you come to NC you need to drive the speed limit. McCory has been awesome in cutting teachers pay when rate near the bottom of the barrel. And cutting police officers pay and cutting retirement to those who worked for it..lol

Drove to NC this afternoon to visit my folks for the weekend. Saw a ton of people pulled from Gastonia on up to Winston-Salem. They had warned me that it was in the news up in NC, but felt the same way like I was crawling trying to stay at or BELOW the speed limit despite having a V1. Cops don't usually cut breaks to those of us with detectors, and paying over $300 bucks of fines, court costs, and attorney's fees for 1 mph over ticket is not how I want to spend my money.

Forget the radar detectors and download Waze on your smart phone. Real time highway updates including GPS, re-routing and cops positions on the road. It's real time info from other users and I've been using it for 2 years and can vouch for accuracy. It's FREE!

No doubt about it, having lived in NC for years now I have learned one thing. Those State leeches in Raleigh are the most money grubbing sons of .... that I have ever seen. They bleed you dry. Topped only by the Wilmington crowd where I own most of my rentals. Tax you to death and wear you out if you have to pay any driving fines. Court cost alone is crazy.
