FSU HC Willie Taggart was asked by a CBS reporter Tuesday if the "backpack" gimmick would be around in 2019. "Nah, we're just going to play football. The players wanted to do it for fun (originally), but it won't be around going forward."
Dang.... Was hoping it would be a permanent bad luck charm for the Noles.

Naw, you should just be careful of what words you use. You wouldn't like being labeled unfairly as "thug", when you are the furthest thing from it. You could easily tell me to "lighten up", but its even easier for you to just not call football players thugs for no valid reason.

Now we can just poke fun at their bad play. That bedazzled backpack was the most lame idea ever. I work with a FSU grad and he cringed seeing that pathetic thing.

Was the students "idea of fun" . Because after carrying around a backpack all day , what really inspires a player is to put on another for a football accomplishment.

Wait, does he really expect us to believe that a college football player came up with the idea of the backpack? Really? I'm just not seeing it. I'm pretty sure most 18 to 24 year olds would have thought that was corny even more so than I did. I will be honest I think that for Miami and the culture and history of that football program. All this other knock-off stuff is just pathetic

I rank the back pack, chain of misery and other such gimmicks right up their with something when I was a little boy. When I brushed my teeth I could put a star on a chart hanging on the bathroom wall.
