Correct me if I'm wrong but when you stay in a hotel for 5 months, isn't that essentially an apartment?

I have to admit in the 90s that was the place to be. It was a very nice place with 2 bedroom suites with a kitchenette. Think Embassey Suites with a local higher end flair.

I read about the issues with players being there and thought wow, this is going to be a big deal.

I stayed there while on a business trip in 08 and it was a disgusting mess of a place. I asked about it being so nice years earlier and why it went downhill so fast. I was told they were using it for students, and long term rentals due to the hotel going bankrupt.

The articles all made it out to be some plush place players were staying while in actuality it was ncie at one time but was being used by numerous students including players just so the company could get some cash flow.

I could see it becoming condos and selling a ton of them making good money. That stretch on Devine street is one of the nicest in Columbia, keeping in mind it is a state capital and downtown area, not a beautiful mountain retreat area.
