T3, I did some digging into the 6-foot rule.

It's not a rule, it's not the law. It was a decision by an appellate judge that reversed a contrary decision by the lower court. There's no statute setting forth a number of feet. Anyway, the whole thing was brought up to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court yesterday to consider the appellate court's order. Which is why it hasn't taken effect.
