Ten Reasons Clemson Will Beat LSU.

|
|
1) Our starting QB is heads over heels better than theirs. He's an NFL caliber passer and is also a run threat. He was close to being a top 6 finalist for The Heisman.
2) Our skill positions on offense can beat their skill positions on defense.
3) Our O-Line can get the job done. They are a talented group. Check out their recruiting profiles.
4) Our OC is as good as they get and will have a solid, solid plan going into this game to beat them after seeing a similar D in SCar. He will be working harder than his counterparts at LSU.
5) Our defense has played very good against the run. We will fair well against LSU's rotation of four RB's. We challenge them to try to enforce their will with the running game.
6) Even though our situation at corner has been bad and exacerbated due to injuries, LSU doesn't have the type of quality receivers that can tear us apart.
7) The game is in ATL, which is closer to Clemson than BR. Our fans will outnumber you and create more of a CU atmosphere than LSU does.
8)We have a better FG kicker. This is big in close games.
9) LSU is not as motivated as we are to win this game. They feel like they've been cheated from a BCS bowl even though they were handled by AL and FL.
10) We owe you one from our last meeting in ATL. Our team will be motivated; they have another chance to prove themselves as being worthy of a final top 10 ranking. LSU feels this game is bad bowl for them and that they deserve better.
Clemson 31, LSU 14

No offense meant. But I think LSU stacks up pretty well against you. And their fans travel like crazy. Don't be surprised to a 50/50 crowd.
Peace out, with all due respect.

Your optimism is commendable but LSU only gives up an average of 17 points a game and held TAMU (3rd in country at 45 pts. per game) to 19 points. This will be the best defense Taj will have seen all year and that includes SCAR. Remember, that was only 17 points against SCAR at home and at night. LSU's defense is better than SCAR at most positions.

we have been practicing at night to get used to it. that is a big adjustment after being used to playing noon or 3:30 games all year, for the most part.

Wow, I get it. Our team is so finely tuned we can only play our best at a certain hour of the day. Is there a preferred temperature too?

And I'm pretty sure the humidity level is of the upmost importance. All else fails.
and while we are at it? it is right leg FIRST when putting on the uniforms...haven't we learned from that?

I know you mean well, but where were you the last game? A snowball in He!! has a better chance of survival than we do. I don't know what Sammy's problem is but he contributed nothing against the Coots. We will be facing defensive ends on the same level as the last game, a defense as good. There is no way we score 30+ points. I want a win just as much as anyone else, but after the last game, I don't see that. We were lucky 40+ wasn't laid on us in that one. And Dabo doesn't even need to watch film on LSU! What's up with that?

1) Our starting QB is heads over heels better than theirs. He's an NFL caliber passer and is also a run threat. He was close to being a top 6 finalist for The Heisman. He can't hurt LSU if hes always on his back
2) Our skill positions on offense can beat their skill positions on defense. See number one
3) Our O-Line can get the job done. They are a talented group. Check out their recruiting profiles. OL can't run block, makes us one deminsional
4) Our OC is as good as they get and will have a solid, solid plan going into this game to beat them after seeing a similar D in SCar. He will be working harder than his counterparts at LSU. we only have big numbers against lower tere teams,Morris has yet to prove anything against better teams
5) Our defense has played very good against the run. We will fair well against LSU's rotation of four RB's. We challenge them to try to enforce their will with the running game. Lsu's QB will make a difference against our D
6) Even though our situation at corner has been bad and exacerbated due to injuries, LSU doesn't have the type of quality receivers that can tear us apart. See number #5
7) The game is in ATL, which is closer to Clemson than BR. Our fans will outnumber you and create more of a CU atmosphere than LSU does. Won't matter
8)We have a better FG kicker. This is big in close games. LSU WILL WEAR CLEMSON DOWN IN THE 2nd HALF,won't be a close game
9) LSU is not as motivated as we are to win this game. They feel like they've been cheated from a BCS bowl even though they were handled by AL and FL. is this wishful thinking?
10) We owe you one from our last meeting in ATL. Our team will be motivated; they have another chance to prove themselves as being worthy of a final top 10 ranking. LSU feels this game is bad bowl for them and that they deserve better. I wouldn't bank on it

the middle,we have stuffed the run.The Coots could not run against us..D.Thompson just had the game of his life.LSU has no Clowney to take over a game like he did in the second half against us.I blame a lot of that on coaching not giving Thomas some help as the game went on.We are a much more balanced team than LSU.At one point were running down the Coots throat, then we try and get fancy with the pass and we lose momentum in the game.A game which with our field position in the first half the score could have easliy been 28-7 at the half.I think this game comes down to a FG with the Tigers winning it.

1) TRUE
2) Our skill couldn't beat South Carolina's secondary because skill players can't do much when you can't get them the ball because your QB is on his back
3) Recruiting profiles mean squat compared to game film. Watch them play against any above average d-line and they get handled very easily and generate very little ground game
4) The only thing out OC is working hard at lately is finding another job.
5) Statistics are deceiving. When you have opportunities to throw the ball to wide open receivers 20 yards downfield, running the ball isn't much of a priority. Also a lot of our game scores force teams to throw. We are not playing Duke or Wake forest here, this will be a close game.
6) They don't have to be all that good to give our secondary fits
7) Doubt that seriously, plus our GA dome history is not exactly illustrious.
8)Concede
9) I can't speak to their motivation but I'm not sure what ours is either
10) Owing them just means they beat us last time. These things mean little, our ability to protect tahj and to not give up 40 mins of time of possession to their running game.
I appreciate the optimism, but lets be realistic. After what SC did to us, it would be reasonable to expect LSU to be able to do the exact same thing unless we have some drastic changes in our level of play on both lines of scrimage.
