I think last night was a seeing the coaching staff trying to get a bit more deep ball practice in a live game situation. Working on stuff that they will need to do well by playoff time in my opinion. we could have easily run short and intermediate routes all game but at some point I think our deep ball needs to get back as part of the Arsenal. I personally think we are fine and could have won that game any number of ways in the coaches knew it. Why not take some shots in live-action? I do wonder if Ross has a case of The Yips as from the second half of A & M he has dropped most everything thrown his way but he settled down towards the end last night. Trevor I will admit even in warm-ups if you saw his face looked very tense and not his normal loose demeanor. Still, even though their offensive line is clearly not very good I give a lot of respect to the Syracuse defense. Those boys hit someone on every play and they hit darn hard. Go Tigers!

These were supposedly our two toughest regular season games, back to back.
I expect we will be trying new wrinkles as the season progresses and explode on Offense.

Of course he is fine. He is the most talented QB in college football. That said, he can improve too. People get so butt hurt when people are objective. Everyone loves TL.

Well, it’s sad for him to have already played himself out of Heisman contention.. Also, ETN probably won’t be in contention either. Perception is more important than reality and perception is something strange and not so good is going on in Tigertown. I just hope and pray they fix it soon.

Trevor’s has thrown for more yardage from GT to Tamu to Syracuse. So he is settling in. His receivers need to not drop as many passes and I’m referring manly to Ross who seems to have dropped more catches already this year than all of last year.

You care deeply about perception.
I, simply, don't. I care about winning. Winning the right way. Not embarrassing the school off the field. Graduating fine young men. Winning games. Winning titles. Letting the scoreboard say all it needs to.
But, feel free to worry about what folks think, and the perception from talking heads.

It is entirely possible that you are correct. That said, I do believe Trevor as well as ETN will both get even better, while Tua, Hurts, and Jonathan Taylor have yet to play even a decent defense. It all works out in the end I think. Especially since so many voters have learned their lesson about awarding the Heisman in September a la Lamar Jackson.
