It's been a while since the signing deadline and he hasn't said anything about the Cubs offering more money to get him.Monte also sounds confident that he will enroll.

July 7 is the deadline. not sure, but believe he can enroll for/attend summer classes but still sign by that date.

that's the way it used to be. but now MLB has set that "drop dead date", in part because some schools started classes later than others (captain obvious). a fixed date instead of attending a class puts all schools on equal footing

Also I thought the final date to decide if your going pro or not was august 15th if they weren't enrolled in a 4 year college? So guess it depends when he wants to start classes.
