Do you know anyone personally who has contracted the virus? Not a relative of a friend or the friend of a coworker. Someone you actually personally know?
I've only had one. A former coworker of mine, and that person recovered. I had seen the person shortly before everything started shutting down, but the timing appears this person was exposed after that.
Other than that, no one.

6. Cousin, his girlfriend, FIL's best friend, and 2 people through work, oh and the neighbor 5 houses down the street.
No close family members yet or close friends.

My wife, on the other hand, works for the power company in NYC and knows a lot at work that has contracted the virus. Most have recovered, but about 5-6 she knows have died.

She's local, 67 years old. She had to go to the ER on Friday (or maybe Saturday), and checked off all 7 of the boxes doctors look for for symptoms. She should get the official test results this week, but every doctor was in "yeah, you pretty definitely have it" mode.
Lowe's had a confirmed case with an employee, so there's likely hundreds or even thousands affected in town, and I'm sure I know a few of them.

he had a rough 1 week's worth, but not severe - no breathing issues. He rode it out at home, and was fine after that week
She didn't have much more than the equivalent of a cold.
both tested positive
both +/- 50 yo

at the plant's wife had it.
While she was in the hospital he was still coming into work. Sitting at father of's desk when he wasn't there, riding the same golf cart etc.
Now he has tested positive.
Guy who is his working partner is throwing an absolute fit for that guy to be fired. Threatening to call DHEC, OSHA, whatever.
Rightfully so. My dad is starting to have health issues. He could have easily contracted the virus because this guy refused to quarantine.

Better question is did the Company have a coherent policy of paid leave for said employee to quarantine. Maybe that falls on them too you know.
