Seriously ... no chance

Why is B.B. wasting time recruiting a player who will not seriously be considering Clemson? IMHO Brownell should be in Israel or Croatia or Italy or Turkey looking for a talent who would be interested in playing for a fine U.S. university? Or somewhere in the U.S. looking for that diamond in the rough. Watching Zion is purely that - watching a talented player. Possibly B.B. is interested in the second or third best player on court - now that would make sense.

Seeing Williamson? Or do you mean just Williamson in general? Or the name brownell? So confused

Let's be glad Dabo doesn't think like that.

pursue the top rated guys. Nothing wrong with going for it all. If you'd don't you'll never get there.
Now whether BB ever gets there is a different story.

IMO - you are insulting a proven recruiter in Dabo by even putting BB in the same sentence with Dabo. I only did it here to try to make you understand the error of your ways. Don't do that again. It's blasphemous almost.

I'm talking about the mindset of going after the best players. I didn't say anything about BB being in Dabos league as a recruiter. If anything he's probably following Dabos lead.

It is ok. I'm sure he asked Dabo's permission to try and land the beat player possible, even if he does swing and miss. Heck, I bet CDS even gave him the Chuck Norris "Thumbs up".

Did Zion tell you that ? You and him are buds ? All I have ever heard him say is that he thinks highly of Clemson and coach Brownell . We hold some weight , he is a legacy after all .

a good thing. Our blueprint should be lunch box warriors. Defense first. Out hustle our opponents. Not showtime, twitter exploding, media mugging teenagers. Get a few hard working guys to stick around for a few years. That's the way to the promised land, imo.

Yes because South Carolina and Gonzaga have a long history of Final Four appearances. There is nothing wrong with recruiting Zion nor is there anything wrong getting the exposure a Zion would bring if only for a year. Hate to tell you Clemson basketball isn't above anything. If you land Zion and he does well and Clemson wins it shows other guys that you don't have to go to Duke or Kentucky to be a top pick and win because Zion is going to be a top pick in the draft no matter where he goes. I am sure if Zion had let Brownell know he wasn't seriously interested in Clemson Brownell wouldn't be wasting his time but the fact that he is there shows me that that probably isn't the case and I will tend to side with the coach than someone on a message board that doesn't know either. There isn't anything wrong with just being in the conversation of getting Zion whether Clemson gets him or not. You can use anything as a recruiting tool nowadays.I just don't get the mindset of some on here. Its not like a football team where you are trying to recruit a 100 guys, in basketball you are literally recruiting a couple dozen if that.

The Clemson blueprint should be to strive for all the success possible with the best student-athletes that can be attracted to the University. If the sport allows 'one and done', so be it. He'll be no less a Tiger, just one who was able to seize opportunity sooner than most.

And it would show top talent they can come here and play and it's not the end of the world. At least stir some interest.

Spiller in football. Davis and Spiller were the beginning of our return to relevance football wise. Zion would change the culture and recruiting for Tigah round ball. I don't see it happening though.

I just don't see him going to Clemson. I think he still winds up a package deal with another player. Probably a pg like Immanuel Quickley or Devon Dotson.
