He averaged 47.5 yards on two kicks in the game. Spires averaged 36. Probably won't see Sawicki again like Carson King last season. Carson must've entered the Time Tunnel after his one attempt for 48 yds.

You're right. Dabo kept King hidden all season after he and Sawicki beat out Spiers for the job at fall camp. Dabo didn't want to have to explain why he was giving the job to the Spiers who placed third in all competitions, so he refused to play King. King was an academic senior with one more year of eligibility but without a scholarship he couldn't afford to stay. By the way, that was a 49 yard punt that was mysteriously recorded as a 48 yard punt by the time it got to the NCAA. Kind of like all the other stats from camps and weekly competitions.
