SEC Officiating

Dec 29, 2019, 10:20 AM

Knew it would be bad when heard it was an all SEC officiating crew...they don't call pass interference in the SEC...all world OSU cornerback was holding all night...correct call on our interception (grabbing the jersey)...however OSU did that all night...Higgins and Ross were frustrated, easy to tell! With SEC officials touching is fine, bumping is fine, faceguarding is fine, mugging is fine and because you are in uniform that means it is with your consent so rape is fine also! One the non fumble for touchdown there was so much contact that there should have been a flag and forward progress was stopped...Ryan Day is a whinner...if he could call plays in the RED zone it might have been a different game...don't think Clemson was going to be denied! Hope we get big 12 or AAC refs for the Championship game...no SEC refs!

If SEC officials are not going to call hand grabbing or arm blocking before the ball gets there then just throw out interference all together! Most WR's are not going to catch the ball with one hand....even in the mighty SEC! Understand touching and some handfighting but even those must be called if the keep the receiver from catching the ball as it arrives...common in most SEC games! I understand that they play no rules football at Starke & Angola but the SEC should have some rules!

They dont call the same way ACC crews call, but they seemed consistent. Kind of like an umpires strike zone. Its fair so long as its same for both teams.

Thank goodness the replay officials were there to correct the crap calls on the field! The SEC refs on the field were doing everything they couldd to keep Clemson out of the natty!
