It's pronounced "L Heff A" and it means "The Boss".

True because Watson is much better. Maybe take that patch off?

I love what Watson does.....but, Steve should be honored for his performance on the field and granting permission for DW to wear his number.

My old Grandad used to say, "When one door closes, another one opens". Great man, lousy cabinet maker though.

Sorry erm (and you, too prudential). I wasn't being snarky or confrontational, but now realize my comment was misconstrued - I actually did intend it to be a 'friendly counterpoint'.

I was at Clemson the same years as Steve Fuller, and though he didn't take us to the same heights as Deshaun, he WAS a stud and he DID take the Tigers to 'the brink' - as we went on to win the natty right after he left. And (if) you think our Tigers are disrespected now, it's nothing compared to those days!

Lastly, while I am solidly of the opinion that Deshaun IS the BEST to have EVER played for Clemson (so far! ??), let's not just forget or replace all who have gone or played before. Besides, there's room for TWO '#4s' on the Ring in Death Valley! And I am sure there will be more to come (Dabo comes immediately to mind ????).

Hope this clears up any misunderstanding and/or confusion?

The best to you and GO TIGERS!!!!!

Agree with that. May get a little confusing if the day comes where Watson's number gets retired.

Exactly...Fuller led us to a 11-1 season after he had been years

without ever winning even seven games. Fuller set the standard as a student athlete. Don't forget, he was a Rhodes scholar too.

Even if you are stating this jokingly, I respectfully disagree. If you listened to Dabo last night, he gave credit to all the players that came before the team on the field. In my opinion, that also goes back to the late '70's and '80's. Those of us who are old enough to remember, know what it feels like to build a winning tradition at Clemson and then to see it disappear. Clemson didn't retire Fuller's jersey for no reason. It was earned and should be honored. The fact that he graciously said that he would be honored for Deshaun to wear the #4 says alot about the Clemson family. My point is: please respect what we have now, and the effort of all those players and coaches that helped to build it. Leave the stupidity to others...and Go Tigers!

Well imagine the next big time recruit who would want to wear 4. He would need two patches, but I don't see how he could put on his pants with his balls being so big trying to follow up the two great #4's.
