Public Relations fumble

No matter what you think about the student ticket question the timing is terrible. Why you would put it out the same week your coach is getting a 30 million dollar contract is beyond me. Its just bad optics.

I am glad Dabo is signed and could not be more pleased with where the program is heading. I'm ALL IN...but as someone who is paying $42,000 in out of state tuition for my kid the ticket charge does not make me happy. Maybe one less amenity in the new facility would have been a better idea.

wouldn't this and Dabo's salary become part of the public record as soon as the Board meeting is over. Someone could just FOIA the minutes. Might as well get it out ahead of some reporter.

Public relations or not, this is a sad day for Clemson athletics. The atmosphere will never be the same at the game. You will have students selling student tickets to the highest bidder, student or not. You will lose many of your student body fans, either from the extra cost or being relegated to the upper deck. You will lose block seating, unless all students of a group can afford the lower deck tickets.

When dollars wipe out traditions, it is a sad day.
