Proposed name change for the Gamecoots....

There is a grassroots movement to change the name (again) for our athletically challenged neighbors in Columbia. After “The USC” and “USC” were declared illegal by the courts, there is a new movement to change to a new, more appropriate, and more esteemed name. Prepare yourselves for .....
The SEC Gamecocks!
A name that plays to the REAL strength (some may correctly say only strength) of the Capons. If you have no real accomplishments, just glom on to the conference name. What major QB or RB wouldn’t want to play for the SEC? The coot fans have already figured this out. Case in point.....

When our RB last year was getting Heisman attention and their starter might be fifth string on our team.
I guess we don’t always get the #1 RB right out of high school but who we do get sure seems to play well. Again, maybe at Clemson our coaches know how to evaluate prospects and develope players.

At the risk of being ungentlemanly, i think the real change for the coots is their mascot. A chicken is just too fierce.... I think the solution is obvious.
What do you call a person of ill repute, who is only purpose is to prost....errr cash their "show clause" for specific services and the discarded, expected to be completely submissive, behind a dumpster in cootlumbia named Willy or in a location of their "donor" choosing.
Sure, they go on about the "money" they are making but they are not "earning' anything. Just getting older and sadder.
No wonder their players "escort".
And my favorite line from a recent song fits the coots perfectly.
"Just like a whiskey bottle drained on the floor, shes got no future just a lot to endure"

Whatever mascot change is made, they should only consider animals with: a noticeable strut, unique noise or sound, and very little bite or strength to back up the initial presentation.

I thinking even less fight.
Maybe one of those lizards that puffs out its neck and croaks a little but its only form of aggression is to latch onto an earlobe and aggravate you a little.
