On Cola radio, Ellis Johnson said ALL talk this week on ND

No mention of Georgia Tech and even Dabo still talking ND as late as Weds night. Said Dabo is normally good about turning page but hasn't seen it this week. Said perfect trap game as it seems we are overlooking Tech.
I sure hope that's not the case as last Saturday will be all for naught if we screw this one up.

All I have heard since Sunday night is the shift to Ga Tech. That's all the players and coaches have been talking about. Somebody obviously doesn't pay attention.

I wouldn't sell Ellis Johnson short. He didn't get fired from the ##### an his defenses were a huge part of their success against Clemson when we fielded some of our better teams. When they lost him, their decline began.
That said, I think his perspective may be on what the media is saying, not what Clemson is saying or focusing on. The media still wants to talk about ND, but the players want to talk about Ga Tech. That's generally the way it works. The talking heads always spend the first few days of the week rehashing last weekend's games and the last day or two predicting what's going to happen this weekend.
The teams, on the other hand, have to move on almost immediately because they're out there practicing Monday. There's a lot more for them to do in terms of game prep than there is for the "experts" to do in predicting how the next 2 months of football will play out.

What's talked about in the media a few times during the week isn't the same as what's talked about during meetings and practices. And only the coaches and players know what's talked about there. And based on Dabo's track record I guarantee you he's talking plenty about GT to the coaches and players, and that's all that matters. It doesn't matter at all what he says to media members. Besides, if they ask him a question about ND, he's gonna answer it.
