I understand it will be annoying, but isn't it already like this in the SEC? Cow bells, megaphones, and that stupid gayclub sounding song "Sandstorm." That crap plays all the time in Billy Brice.

yeah I admit I'm felling the same way. SO they lost because of our music seems to be their claim and now they are on equal footing. Well lets see how that works out for them

come on guys. the valley was rocking like nonstop the entire game. I'm sure the 12 hour tailgate prior to KO had a lot to do with it but w/o the pressbox pumping you up after every play i don't think you could sustain it. To say the noise didn't effect GA's offense would be a bald faced lie.....and we had a 5th yr senior @ QB. The crowd noise definitely played a part in your win and I'm expecting the same results in Athens when you 1st time starter takes the field.

The fans in Death Valley have sustained that much noise and more for 4 quarters long before we had music piped in.
Just ask that running back y'all paid to attend UGA back in the 80's. I think he won a Heisman or something but never scored in Clemson. He had some pretty good quotes about the noise Clemson fans created.

Why would I be "jelly" for something

that happened when I was 1 year old?
Looking at the history books, it looks like we may have won a national championship while he was at UGAy. So why would I be "jelly?"

why would you bring up the subject at all then? Was it an attempt to somehow demean UGA? You just said GA cheated in Herschels recruitment. You want cheating? Hit those history books again and review the aftermath of that Championship season of CU's in 1981.

To me it sounds like a whiny UT coach that got sad that a couple recruits might choose Clemson over them. I keep checking Clemson's championship roster for their names but I can't find them.
What's up with that?

After the first quarter?
Feb 26, 2014, 11:39 AM

It was 10-0 after the first quarter. That's not really an insurmountable lead. It was even 16-0 into the middle of the 4th. If we could have scored AT ALL, it would have been a close game... it didn't really blow open until the two run-heavy drives in the 4th (and, taking note that we never scored that kinda played into it, too).
If you're going to be a troll, at least be a realistic one. That's more than I expected, even from a Dawg.

no need to start name-calling. no troll. imo, it was over at the 9:21 mark of the 1st qter when on GA's 1st series Greene hit Gibson for a 56 yard td over clemson's best defender Justin Miller.

and yes it is sometimes hard to sustain noise with the old-timers sitting on their hands at times. The entire lower section on the south side is mostly older alum. The west end of the stadium is also open sans for the scoreboard.....might effect the overall noise somewhat but don't fool yourself your offense will have trouble communicating.

Death Valley Rocks anyway, with or without music!!
The press box had nothing to do wiht the play on the field. The artificial noise has to stop when the players are ready to bark out signals or break the huddle. What played a roll in our win was our D and O was better than yours that day.
Crowd noise I agree, but the music nah man that's a reach.

honestly I don't know when the rule was enforced in the 1st place. maybe it was after our blackout game in 2007 vs. Auburn. The pressbox was blaring out Soulja Boy non-stop. I'm pretty sure even the school band has to shut it down before the snap.

well he's more experienced than stoudt or swag and Mason will be playing in front of the home crowd. Correct me if I'm wrong but none of your QBs have ever started a game and certainly not one in Athens.

Of course the noise will rattle other teams! Our boys thrive on it, that is part of the gameday experience at Clemson, so if you think some weak booing in Athens will get in our players head's you are delusional.

Band play as loud as it can, but the pumped in noise is just an easy way to annoy everybody @ the game, including the home crowd and players. I went to the UNC game two seasons ago and the music was so loud I had to leave early. Maybe we should lead the way and stand out for our gracious good taste? Nah, it'll never happen. Rudeness has overtaken the world.

The SEC has rules restricting the use of artificial noise during the game. I think its only allowed before kickoffs and change of quarters. Technically the cowbells are not allowed and penalties should be issued but they have turned a blind eye to the bells. The new rule allows it to be used anytime during non play as I understand it.
