it was a conference game with chit refs and everything Clemson has battled with in basketball since forever. The committee had us at the top 3 spot and I'm sure they did not expect us or anyjaun to win out. The numbers are almost impossible for us to be out of the field. I really want to see Brownell win a real tournament game as a head coach because he has not made it to the 2nd round anywhere.

No he did not. He played a glorified play in game with what some would call a 17th seed. He has never made the second round as a head coach and has only been 4 times over his coaching career.
The other 3 times he made it was by winning the conference tourney at unc wilm twice and wright st once. All 3 of those ended in the first round. That being said, I am not a hypocrite and was on the BB bus til his 6th year. Right now I am excited to see what our team does. I want to win it all but will settle to see BB make it to the second round.

We won the first game of the tourney in one of the first years of the expanded tourney. It’s called the first round.. the round of 64 is now the 2nd round. Whether you like it or not, it was a NCAA tourney win. Go support Frank Martin in the CIT

We did win a play in game. If you believe it was the actual first round go back and listen to what Grant, our captain and leader of that team, said about the game. He literally laughed when they called it the first round. It was and still is a play in to get into the field of 64.

This years team has being on the wrong end of a 5 vs 12 upset written all over it. But hey, if we're dancing then I'm happy.
