Not just being the only other ranked team from the ACC, but not even really showing up and getting your block knocked off by almost 20 points in Blacksburg.
Maybe it works out by the FINAL polls, but it has been a LONG time since only one ACC team was ranked at the very end. I only used the AP in searching, but no matter which polls, the ACC's had many years with 3 teams or more ranked at season's end. Can't remember if it's '89 or '90, but from '91 on there've been at least 2 schools ranked in the final poll - often more. That also includes all adjustments for any teams that left or not yet entered the ACC. If they were not in the conference a particular year, I left them out.
ONE TEAM RANKED. If it stays that way, it will break a 30-year run - and of course now we're talking about a much larger conference. Didn't get to include FSU in the '80s or '90 & '91. Also, no VaTech until 2005, etc.

LOL, I posted this earlier! I think we need to punish Wake for looking ahead to us.
Looking ahead is what cost App State a win against Georgia Southern ahead of playing U of suck.
We need to jump on Wake early and often because everyone knows they are still a good team that just got caught looking ahead!

Yes, it is ABSOLUTELY Wake's fault that the ACC is having a down year. They've had a coach with an overall winning record as recently as 1937-1950. Of course they should be the ones to pick up the slack from the other schools that are up to four times their size!

Just trying to "find a reason" to get at these guys. Extra motivation if you will. And, I think for the most part it was all done in fun. Easy.

I would not count out #1 this year. LSU sphincter will start to tighten up. UGay owes them one in Atl. TOSU has Meechigan on the road w/o star DE possibly. JS.

This is what actual league parity looks like. It is just taking our teams 3/4 of the season to settle in.
I like Wake, VT, Pitt, Va, and BC in post-season matchups. Depending on how FSU rallies, they definitely have the foundation to be above average.

It's Wake Forest. They have weak talent overall. Even if they would have been ranked when we play them, nobody would have taken that victory seriously. Theyre an average team.
