Mr. Watson

Here is a guy with tons of potential like Tajh Boyd but as I watched the Obama of him last season I also seen him stare down receivers just like Boyd. I really hope that he uses this fall camp to learn the nuances of QBing. Yes, he had a high completion percentage but he didn't look over the field well and was constantly over looking the open guy for the big shot. I don't know if it's his coaching or if it's between the ears but to be a elite QB you have to throw off defensive backs and sometimes go to the open man to be really effective. I didn't see that last year. Hopefully he gets it together this season if he wants that elusive title.

Mr. Sin, are you the only one who didn't watch Watson.....

.....take a snap last year? Every analyst including Mr. Herbie himself said that Watson was the future of college football. You don't get national pundits singing your praises by staring down receivers and not checking down. The one thing you forgot is that everyone on this site watched every snap of Watson and by this time of year have rewatched 300 times. So the one place that can call BS on your analyzation of Mr. Watson is where you choose to post your comment/ammature observation? I Mr., question your sanity......

DW4 is one of those QBs that seems to go throw to who you, the fan, are watching break open from the stands. (If that makes sense). I used to see that with Whitehurst in spurts, but nothing like Deshaun. You see the WR break, and before you you can say to yourself, "he's open," the ball is there. He sees that at field level on almost every pass...and that is pretty darn incredible.

seeing. Stoudt did have a tendency to stare down receivers. Boyd did early but he was sporadic with it.

I re-watched the NC State and UNC games last week (was sick and not able to do a whole lot else), and saw him look left for a second or two, pump then go right for a big gain on a couple of occasions. I saw him looking downfield and then coming underneath a few times, and I saw him looking, pumping, completely breaking the UNC guys ankles and then going over the top for a score. He looked right on the earhole TD in the UGA game until he noticed the guy with his back to him over the middle. If you "didn't see it", you didnt by choice, not fact.

I watched a different DW4, I guess. In the rival fame alone, how many times did he look left or right, then come back to the receiver on the slant. Thus kid had uncanny QB skills for a freshman, and he's just going to get better.

you watching? Certainly not DW4's Obama. His football IQ is on a level that many NFL players fall short of. I think you were watching an Obama on someone else.

IMPO, CJ Spiller started us on this voyage we're on right now that has led us to bringing in many elite talented players that has led us to players like DW4, that I believe will lead us to winning the Big game, the National Championship.
