I am surprised there isn’t more chatter regarding Potters missed 40 yarder. I thought this was a given and well within his range. Maybe the atmosphere got to him. Once you get in a kickers head it is tough. Hope he can hit the big one next time.

It probably affected him that the false start penalty moved it back 5 yards . Big difference between 35 and 40 yarder. But it still should have been made.

Generally right foot kickers do better from left hash but not him. Has to correct that soon or move Sawicki to kicker. Almost cost us a game yesterday.

You make a point. Usually top punters and kickers from around the country are clamoring to be seen on a top team like the Tigers. Yet somehow, Swinney has not consistently identified top talent since Catman and Pinion.

He will get better.
He is young and the Couple of meaningful FGs he has attempted this year he has missed all but maybe one .
He has a strong leg just got to get comfortable on the big stage

That's why there are only a few really great kickers.
I remember after watching Ariri and Igwebuike thinking that David Treadwell just didn't have the leg they did. But he was very accurate and had Ice in his veins and won us a lot of games.
Hope Potter can add the accuracy and ice to his strong leg.

Honestly, we shouldn't have to depend on a field goal. If a game comes down to the kicker then a lot of other people have been making mistakes the other 59 minutes.
