Measurables aside, is Bradley Chubb a fundamentally sound player?

He seems lazy, gets pushed around by bigger lineman, can't shake double teams, has a towel fetish ...

If I had to be honest, he is a little overrated draft wise to me. I don't think he's a top 10 take. I'm not saying he is a bad DE but I feel he is a little overhyped and I mean just a little. Now he's a definitely a really good DE but not some elite/franchise changing guy. Fundamentally he could use some tuning and his motor seemed a little lacking throughout last season. He would show up for the bigger games but disappear when they would play the small fish AKA Coots/Tarholes/Wake. His numbers weren't off the charts great last season but pretty dang solid at 10.5 sacks and 72 tackles.

He's definitely a good player but I wouldn't draft him in the first round, that's just me.

I'll eat my crow if he turns into a Von Miller type but I don't see it.

He is inconsistent. I don’t see him being much of a force at the next level

Yes. Dude is a stud. I'm not sure what tape you're watching but he does fine when double teamed and against all kinds of linemen. His rate stats are obscene. His numbers are on par with Shaq Lawson's junior year and Vic Beasley's senior year. He put up better numbers than any DL on our team without as much talent around him.
