I use to work at Murray’s in Columbia and my boss was a big coot fan and somehow he got Danny Ford and Ray Tanner to come one night. it was awesome to meet Danny Ford!

The most famous person I've ever met associated with Clemson Football was Bennie Cunningham. He was at my school when I was twelve or so. He spoke and say right beside me. He looked so look huge!!

the one yr I attempted to teach hs. He was a super nice guy and tried to help me assimilate into the teaching world. Really couldn't meet a nicer dude.

Glad you got to meet him. I used to tend bar with him at the Aiken IPTAY meeting some years ago. He never met a stranger. Ran into him a good while after Clemson and he called me by name.

Everyone at CLEMSON is just so awesome! I live in Columbia, but I have been a TIGER since I was a little girl!! When I was 10, 11 and watching my tigers play, if they would start to lose, I would physically feel ill! Lol.. my mom use to threaten to make me stop watching!! When I went to my 1st Clemson game, I FELL IN LOVE!!!????

Almost met Danny twice

In the summer of '84, i was working for the university
as a student and was taking some stuff to the salvage
yard off perimeter road. As i was leaving, Danny pulled
in looking around for something and i almost hit his truck
with the school truck i was driving.
In 2008, my son (BigAl) and i were standing in line to
register for Jack Leggett's baseball camp and Danny was
about 4 adults in front of us with his grandson. Thought
about talking to him but it was kind of rainy, others were
talking to him, and he looked like the heat and humidity
were getting to him.
Glad you got to meet him.

I met Coach Ford in the early 80's while living in Richmond, VA at a Clemson Club meeting in the Tidewater area. I'll never forget it. He is such a gracious person.
