It's Gameday Friday. Of the 200+ people that work here, probably 60% are Coot fans. Not ONE Coot shirt worn by anyone today. A couple of hats to cover up their ugly heads, but not one shirt! PRICELESS!!!
COOT#1: I hope Georgia Tech beats the %#$@ out of you!
ME: That's possible, but I think we have a good chance to win this one.
COOT#2: Well, I guess so, I mean, who do ya'll play? Nobody. Two nobody's to start the season, then Louisville, 2-3; Notre Dame, overrated; Ga Tech, 2-3; Boston College, irrelevant since Flutie; Miami, a no-nothing team that will beat you; NC State, really?; FSU, ok maybe one team, Syracuse, irrelevant since McNabb; Wake Forest, cellar team.
ME: I'm surprised you keep up with the ACC so well. First off, your ignorance is showing, AGAIN. Of the 12 teams we play this year, the Gamecocks have a winning percentage against only three teams.
Of all the teams we play this year, 7 currently have one or no losses. Only three having losing records, and you're one of them. Oh, by the way, 4 of the 7 ACC teams we have left to play have a top 20 defense for us to go against. How's your defense doing this year?
COOT#1: Well, I bet you don't win out!
ME: Maybe, but we already have a C note on Clemson getting to the Final Four.
COOT#1: OK, I'll bet you we win 2 out of our next 5.
ME: (Laughing) Really? That's all you got?
COOT#1: Hey, that's all I got, we will win two out of the next 5.
ME: (I'm still laughing!!!!)
