Clemson Must Walk Carefully Through This...Mess..Kinda Long

Right now I am truly worried we are going to get screwed up in a severely watered down ACC.....The remaining Big East Schools are frankly unremarkable.........If FSU takes this opportunity to leave for the Big 12 I have to become really worried about Clemson.
I don't want to be a Big East school but is is looking more and more like that....I thought the Big 12 would be fine for us but that league is not Clemson's style...we are a Southern Football team and it must remain that way.
So what does that leave us? Well if FSU and UMD leave, we will rule the ACC like we did in the 1980's and is the new Playoff would keep the ACC in the mix with the new look of the ACC we would frequently be in the mix.
If FSU leaves (I hope the stay), then I hope the ACC can really go after a Penn State type program if at all Possible and get Notre Dame to join full time....If that occurred, we could probably get an ACC network that would be meaningful.
If none of these options are good I would try to get into the SEC (Extreme long shot)....
Just going to have hold my breath

here is another thing to worry about, if part of MD's legal

argument is that they "voted against the 50 million based on legal grounds" which is what they are now saying, an that works, then only FSU would be able to replicate that argument in court given they also voted against it. We wouldn't have that legal argument because we voted for the increase.
There are plenty of questions to go around here.

In the type of organization the ACC is when you agree to enter the "club" you agree to whatever is voted into action. They owe the ACC 50 million. Only the ACC can change that.

sit still and see what happens. We aren't going anywhere unless the SEC asks and that will not be anytime soon. Why worry about things that you can't control?

which will leave us and a bunch of basketball schools. I don't care who we have to bribe or beg.....Clemson belongs in the SEC. I see that as our only course to football relevance again. Jmho

While I'll concede there is a small possibility this leads to bigger shifts, let's get real here - we aren't losing anything in Maryland leaving, and we'll actually have 1 MORE team than we currently have once Pitt and Syracuse get here - the ACC is in no danger of collapsing from a numbers standpoint and Maryland leaving really has no effect on the quality of football in the ACC. If FSU decides to jump ship and head somewhere else, I can assure you Maryland leaving is not very high on the list of reasons contributing to their exit.
