Lol. Free...

Feb 9, 2016, 9:37 PM

Only coots are dumb enough to actually think it's "free". You know it'll be us footing the bill for you, Bill.

What about the "Millionaires and Billionaires"?

#FeelTheBern #GetTested4Herpes

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I like millionaires and billionaires

Feb 9, 2016, 9:54 PM

They've given me jobs. They've allowed me to work hard so that I could go to a great school and make a better life for myself. A poor person has never given me an opportunity.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

if you're a democrat, a poor person gives you the opportunity to

Feb 9, 2016, 9:57 PM

force other people to give the poor money to make you feel better.

Trickle down economics has proven so effective

Feb 9, 2016, 10:59 PM [ in reply to I like millionaires and billionaires ]

especially in 2008. Yeah, those rich guys have really helped us.

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The alternative is socialism

Feb 9, 2016, 11:31 PM

Think you'll do better under socialism? People build boats out of trash to escape it to come here and be "beaten down by rich folks". smh. If you didn't achieve what you wanted, that's on you. Not a rich guy.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Socialism is better than Facism

Feb 9, 2016, 11:47 PM

Which is pretty much what we live under now. What kind of Capitalist economy has bailouts and phrases like "Too big to fail."? What kind of Capitalist economy has Quantitative Easing? What kind of Capitalist economy has government running companies ( Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac ). The answer is, no true Capitalist economy does. America more closely resembles Facism when it comes to the economy than Capitalism.

Mussolini quote:

"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism, since it is the merger of state and corporate power."

Re: Lol. Free...

Feb 9, 2016, 11:55 PM [ in reply to Lol. Free... ]

We're already footing the bill for $23 Billion subsidies to the top 5 Oil Companies just last year, not to mention the F-35 (non) Fighter Jet that as now at $1 Trillion and still hasn't been deployed.

Kill the F-35 alone and you can give free tuition to every student in the country for 15 years....without raising a dime of taxes.

When are people going to realize that Corporate Welfare and campaign finance corruption has taken over our democracy.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They can't realize it because of all the propaganda

Feb 10, 2016, 12:04 AM

All the mainstream news organizations say everything is fine and "nothing to see here". When one of the talking heads does try to speak up, they end up getting canned.

And you forgot to mention that Fox News is merely the propaganda arm of the Republican Party, and owned the the Australian billionaire Rupert Murdoch.

Feb 9, 2016, 10:55 PM

Don't care for Trump. I can go for Kasich or Bush, but the worst would be Rubio who is a deceitful, thief who twists facts, doesn't do the job he was elected to do and says what he thinks gullible people want to hear. Scott and Gowdy are idiots too to support his crap.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I like Kasich as well.

Pretty much at this point its either Trump or Sanders for me

Feb 9, 2016, 11:04 PM

There isn't really a good candidate out there but as weird as it sounds, Trump and Sanders are the least flawed. They are actually talking about some of the true problems in America. Clinton, Cruz and Rubio would all be carbon copies of Obama but maybe even worse as far as Clinton goes. I'm not even sure one man ( or woman ) can fix our problems but Trump and Sanders are the only ones talking about the real issues. The others just talk platitudes and use buzz words to try and get people voting with emotion rather than using critical thinking skills.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Trump is pretty flawed from what I have seen.**

Re: Pretty much at this point its either Trump or Sanders for me

Feb 9, 2016, 11:18 PM [ in reply to Pretty much at this point its either Trump or Sanders for me ]

What has Trump said about the issues, I must have missed it. Lol. Seriously though. All I've heard is name-calling, cussing at the podium, bringing torture back, some $8 billion-dollar wall, "a lot of great deals" and... Well, that's about it. He has no idea about foreign policy, diplomacy, the military... Ugh. It should take more than "saying what's on your mind" to be elected president of our country. And for a man that went to Wharton school of business and studied economics, he sure doesn't give much detail as far as a platform is concerned. I'm pretty sure "great deals" isn't an answer any MBA candidate I've known ever wrote on a final exam. And in this day and age, you can just use "bomb the #### out of them" as a military strategy, even Bush was more eloquent at saying it than that! Man, it's the first time in my life where I'm actually sitting here thinking, "we are f'd."

Bernie Sanders actually has a viable take on economics, the numbers do work regardless of what your party affiliation is, and he's the only one I've seen that has an actual plan, one with numbers and an outlined process. Yet and still, he has zero knowledge of foreign policy which is striking considering his resume. The other day he said North Korea had 5 leaders? It's just said to think we're going to all end up going to the polls voting against whatever person we don't like versus voting for the candidate that we do like. I'm genuinely concerned.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yea, you must have missed it

Feb 9, 2016, 11:24 PM

Because at pretty much every debate, he has talked about arguably the #1 issue, money in politics. Nothing else can really get done if you don't solve that problem first. He's called out the other candidates for essentially being bought off ( so has Sanders ). This is the reason why you have a guy like Obama who says all the right things on the campaign trail, has a nation behind him and after he's elected, essentially turns into Bush 2.0. It can be said about many things and it's no different with politics. If you want to know why faces change yet true policy never seems to change, "follow the money".

If anyone is on the fence about who they're voting for
