Listen. We need to respect LSU (not starting fires)

I’ve been a tiger fan since the day I arrived on campus (grew up out of state). Our fan base used to beg for respect and then give it over the years we went from Bowden to Dabo era. Recently we have this “we can’t be beat” and “everyone else sucks” mentality. Listen, we’ve played better than anyone last 5 years and Dabo has the train rolling. Can’t argue there. But anyone can lose any night. We know this bc we’ve lived through it. I do think we are better. But, let’s stop the LSU isn’t a good team stuff. Their offense looks good and we can justify it 100 ways. Just like the media does to us with the ACC. We hate it so why return it. They are playing well.

We’re better than that. I think it will be a good game. Think we’ll win but it will be a shootout. Let’s go back to be the fan base others respected and not turn into Bama fans bc of recent success.

Just my 2 cents. CUinNOLA

Agree there. But my post is directed at us. Not them. Who cares what they say. WE are better than them and that. Let em talk and our boys will talk for us on the 13th.

I thought the same thing the attitude towards OSU. This is a 50/50 game. Whoever executes and makes a couple more plays will win. No disrespect as they are a very good team, but their fans are hot garbage from what I have seen so far.

100% agree. Georgia fans still take the cake but don’t have the good spicy food to balance it out. Haha. But yes, in general that’s sec fans.

I'm gonna say 60/40

If you are objective, some of our fans' comments have a bit of the dump stink on them, too.

People who lecture others

on what they say on their team's message board...what do you call that? Not specifying any particular person but this is almost as annoying as trolling fans from rival schools.

I'm not sure "We're better than that" is a lecture.

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

So you're saying let's respect LSU

while at the same time YOU don't have ANY respect for Clemson's DEFENSE?!!

Nonsense!!!

Really hope that was directed elsewhere and not the OP. Otherwise you are the problem with our fan base today.

Can have respect for someone else’s strength without knocking one of your own.

Like I said. Hopefully I’m wrong and you mistyped and aren’t the problem

"Think we’ll win but it will be a shootout."

You disrespect our defense by saying that imo. Sorry if you do not see it that way.

Regarding me being what is wrong with the fanbase. I love my Clemson Tigers. Those who choose to not have faith in their abilities is what I feel is wrong. But I respect your misguided opinion.

Won’t argue with my own. I have faith. But believe this will be our biggest test this year. They will score more than OSU. We will score than we did too and win but this will be a battle. Lord I hope I’m wrong and we crush them but it’s what I’m mentality prepared for. Just hope our fan base shows respect before and after.

Remember. We aren’t tigernet and they aren’t the 6 idiots with 97 handles on tigernet.

Tampa ...how did you get up on that HIGH HORSE?

Agree with you. There is no need to have a 'fan word fight' when the 2 teams will settle it on the field in13 days.
And it seems the Clemson fan-base is becoming "cocky". We need to remain humble and say the right things rather than 'stir the pot'.

Agreed. I was honestly shocked at the cockiness before the OSU game.

I really like our team but to think we cannot get beat by another really good team (or UNC for that matter) if we do not show up and execute is ludicrous.

We played like crap and still won. How awesome is it that we brought our C+ game and took care of bidness?

What the game were OSU drove right down the field in like a minute and was close to scoring a TD to win it?

That was far from the dominant win and game control that some on this board pumped up. Was I confident we could win? Yes! I think at this point our Tigers can obviously beat anyone (consistently). We could always beat anyone and have.

Like I said it was 50/50 and that is how it played out.

They put up stats but couldn't capitalize. Our D got it done when it counted.

On offense, we didn't play like Clemson. I give tOSU some credit for that, but our passing game was not up to the standard.

29-0 will do that to a fanbase.

Do you actually believe what we think as fans has actually nothing to do with who wins or loses the game?

Absolutely it doesn’t. My lucky boxers though.. only reason we win.

We are just creating bulletin board material for Coach Oregon to use against Dabo and the boys

In very recent pasts 2 high scoring teams that have faced each other have had mostly defensive battles against one another. Then there has been 2 defensive teams that seem to find themselves in a shootout against one another.

I think there is going to be tightness at first but I'm telling you Etienne is going to be ready to explode. He might have to be calmed down some so he doesn't hurt himself with the hype of being in his home state and all. .....plus he runs sooo hard. And of course LSU wants to win it for the state they represent as well as win it mostly for Ogeron and the other coach who unfortunately lost his daughter-in-law.

Its going to be a highly emotional game. No one is going to want to make a mistake obviously...so its going to have a very tight feel at first.

However.....I think whoever loosens up first and is consistently with it ...wins.

Every LSU or Ohio State fan that came here with respect got treated with respect.

It’s a bunch of bravado, as are all team forums. Clemson fans in general absolutely respect LSU. Anyone who follows football knows they are a great team and won’t be an easy opponent. Even casual fans can recognize that any team playing for a national championship has to be really good.

Clemson fans in general absolutely respect LSU.

Likewise.
Clemson's last three games against Bama, especially last year, get you guys max respect from LSU.
Not just "generally", but in the vast majority of instances.

I think our fanbase does have trouble wrapping our heads around a team that is 29-0, the defending National Champion, and winner of 2 out of the last 3, referring to itself as "little ole Clemson" or projecting itself into contrivances of disrespect.

where it is received. Since none is received none will be given. I don't like them coming to the playoffs and having this attitude of we're the greatest. I hope we curb stomp LSU. After that, we can have talk about respect.
