Big tax cuts lead to economic pain. Pretty simple concept.

Yet the economy is robust, with an expected almost 4%

growth in 2Q18 and the lowest unemployment in many years.

Hmmm.

tax cuts only lead to short term growth and add massivly to the deficit. We have been down this road several times, but fail to learn.

But he's a liberal so I suppose it's OK?

and most of that was from the bush era tax cuts which he kept in place until his second term, as well as financing simultaneous wars started under the previous administration.. You can see the precise moment when he raised them back up on the graph.

Jun 30, 2018, 10:17 PM

the graph kind of proves this right? And it was more his administration and political advisers that were at fault. To blame him solely would have to assume that he was smart enough to be culpable.

It could be worse. I am just glad that Mexico is paying for the wall.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Let's check in on the budget outlook under Trump

Jul 1, 2018, 8:15 PM

Mexico is not paying for a single brick to go in a wall that TheRump thinks will get TheRump some votes. The wall is never going to happen.
By the way, the economy for the first quarter was well below the OMB's projection. That means the taxcut for the wealthy did not boost the economy. Per P.T. Barnum: "Suckers are born every day."

TheRump's depression will become obvious to even the MAGA suckers by mid October. Sorry.
