Jacksonville Question

Okay, posting this in the football boreds because my only experiences with Jacksonville have been two bowl games there. I am looking at a possible job relocation to the Jacksonville area and wonder if there are any fellow Tigers there that can give me some info on the city. Please feel free to T-Male me with anything.

I guess I'm just looking for places to live, places to avoid, general thoughts on the city, cost of living, those types of things. The job would be in the Ponte Vedra area so places within a reasonable commute from there. We currently live in Charleston and like I said my knowledge of Jax is limited to two bowl game trips in the last 15 years, much of which is a little hazy ;)
