Will be very interesting to see what the committee does if..

Nov 15, 2016, 9:57 PM

if OhSt beats Mich, then it is Wisky vs Penn St in the B10 CG. You know a one loss OhSt will get in, and assuming us and Bama get in, the 4th team will be between the 2 loss B10 champ, Louisville(if they keep winnng), and Wash, if they win out. I think Wash will be in if they win out, but if they lose again, I don't think the Pac 12 gets in.

Then, it will be between the 2 loss Big 10 champ and Louisville. That will be a very interesting scenario. I think Louisville still gets left out. So, Louisville's only chance is for us to lose again, or for Mich to knock OhSt out.

Louisville has a few paths, but not may. Ohio St wins v. WISC/OKLA/NEB/MICH will completely block Louisville as a 1-loss non-champ. Another path would be OSU/MICH reaching big10cg and then losing to WISC/PSU. Then if WASH lost again, LOU would definitely be in

Washington will lose again

I don't think they run the table. The final spot will come down to (assuming OSU wins out) Big10 Champ and Ville.

I honestly think the Big10 gets 2 teams into playoff. OSU will run table, we run table and therefore Big 10 Champ with 2 losses will get in.

We will be 2 or 3 playing a Big 10 team. I could see committee putting Big10 Champ at 3 -and OSU at 4.

In your scenario, I could see OhSt staying at #2 & us being

#3, and the two loss Big 10 champ #4. Bama would again get the easiest path to the CG, and us and OhSt would have to battle it out. But, I will take that. Remember, even without OhSt even getting to the B10 CG, they will have just beaten #3 Michigan. They won't drop unless the committee really put a lot of weight on the CCG's.

Not that I think they are that good... but don't count WVU out... they play OU this week and if they win that there's a very good chance they are a one loss champ...

Imagine this senario...

WVU Big 12 champ (1 loss)
Wash PAC 12 champ (1 loss)
PSU/Wisky B1G champ (2 loss)
Clemson ACC champ (1 loss)
Bama SEC champ

OSU non conf champ (1 loss)
LU non conf champ (1 loss)

Who is in?

Obviously Bama & Clemson...

Who is 3 &4?

yikes!

If it were me, OSU and Big 10 champ, have to consider WASH

wouldn't even consider WVU and LOU in that scenario

that's nuts though

what if Bama loses to AUB and SECCG ..... (hahaha)

yes, I completely agree with both of you. I see 2 big 10 teams making it. What's really interesting is would committee making 11-1 OSU #3 and WISC/PSU #4 as conference champ in order to "protect" Alabama with an easier matchup? As much as I hate to admit it, Alabama probably deserves the easier path given this season. Last year I thought they got a gift by getting Michigan St. I think the committee wanted Bama/Okla and tried to set it up. You know, until we bludgeoned OKLA and stole their man cards !

For that scenario...

Nov 20, 2016, 1:55 AM

I believe the top 4 will be

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3/4. Penn State/Washington/Oklahoma

It depends on whether or not Washington wins out. If it does, Washington will be #3 and Penn State will likely be #4. If it doesn't, Penn State will be #3, but I'm not certain between Oklahoma and Washington for #4. I'm leaning toward Oklahoma as #4.

Ohio State will be left out.

Louisville's chance is gone after we beat Wake.***

Clemson wins out my, we will be 2 or 3 . It won't matter! Al is 1 all the way, even if they drop a game but to Au, but beat Fl. I don't see them losing either game. Don't see Clemson losing either game. I think O St beats M, eliminating M, but putting O St in the playoffs. Louisville is history. If P St wins out, they are in. They will probably play Al and we get O St. Finals will have the good guys and Al, with the Tigers winning!

others. Obviously Bama is in too. With the Buckeyes almost certainly not playing for the Big 10 Champ, I still think they get in with the Big 10 Champ along with us and Bama *if* they were to beat Michigan. I think they will too.

in a lot of instances -

such as us versus Louisville, and PSU versus Ohio State.

it's effectively redundant and not meaningful.
