I'm trying out for the football team

In a week or two when they have mid-year tryouts... Wish me luck!
Going out for scout team WR, then hopefully walk on
6' 5", 195 lbs, something under a 4.8 40 yard dash, and about a 30 inch vertical. Haven't really lifted a lot in the past year but have been playing basketball and starting to lift and workout routinely again. This is more so just to see what I need to work on

You are 6'5'' and run a 40 under 4.8, yet aren't on a football scholarship somewhere already? You sure about that 40 time???

I raced a friend who runs a 4.6 and was about 3/4 of a step behind. And I didn't play FB in HS, only BB. My friend I raced is trying out for LB.

The way they weed people out initially is through cardio. It is VERY intense. Tons of running so I hope you are in the best of shape friend. They are looking for the toughest of tough. A kid who can take a hit and jump right up without skipping a beat. Also, it appears customary that scout team kids should be able to take some lip and not say a word or respond. Nonetheless qualify scout teamers are a vital part of any team.
