#STRecruiting: Gamecocks lose commitment & miss on top target

Not a good Monday recruiting wise for USC The Gamecocks lost committed DE Devonte Wyatt of Decatur, GA when he flipped to Georgia and missed on defensive back target Trajan Brandy of Miami who committed to the hometown Hurricanes.
Wyatt picked up an offer from the Gamecocks at a camp in early June and committed the next day. At that time, he seemed sold on the Gamecocks and ready to play for Will Muschamp.
“I’m so happy right now, I started crying when I was leaving South Carolina,” Wyatt said then. “It’s just great. They just made me feel like I was at home.”
However, later in June Wyatt was offered by Georgia and things began to change quickly. He listed the Bulldogs as “even” with USC, but didn’t flip his commitment initially. However, today, he made it official that he was going with Dawgs.

I'd cry too knowing I'd made the worst decision of my life....at least he was able to reverse it before it was too late.
