it is the posts of TigerNet defending what Sammy has done. If it were a coot or fsu player, the comments would be totally different.
Bottom line is, he broke the law and got caught. Whether marijuana should be legal is not the question. It is NOT legal. Exam week is not an excuse for the Adderol and other pill found on his person. The police should not have made an arrest...why not? That is what they are paid to do.
People need to just accept it for what it is...Watkins was wrong and no excuse can change that.
Don't blame the "marijuana should be legal" or "it is exam week and everybody does it" or "the cop should not have arrested him". Blame the person that put himself in a position to be caught when he was wrong.
Do I hope he learns from this? YES! Do I blame the cops or laws that exist right now? NO! Do I think he made a stupid mistake? YES! But that does not excuse what he did. I will not give him a break and blame this on anything but his own decision.
Both are misdemeanors and can be expunged from his record if he fulfills his punishment requirements. Hopefully, this is something that will prevent worse charges down the road. A hell of a way to learn a lesson, but if that is what it takes, so be it.

if one of two things had happened to Watkins.
Auto accident because they were DUI in which he was seriously hurt.
Reaction to the prescription drug which caused him his life. There is a reason why these drugs are controlled by a presciption and it isn't just money.
It would be horrid.
