Does the Texas-K State game matter to us as far as getting to New Orleans?

KSU has pretty much assured themselves a BCS bowl. If they lose and OU wins they will be in the Sugar Bowl. The games that matter are Kent St/NIU and OU/TCU where we want NIU and TCU to win.

Sugar Bowl something to think about. Last year they had the choice of a #8 KSU team or #11 VT and they took VT. It wouldn't be that much different this season. Clemson travels much better than KSU, has the bigger fan base, and is about 6 hours closer to New Orleans. Kansas State would probably be ranked around #11, while Clemson would be #14.

We lost the biggest game of the year last Saturday so iTexas-KState does not matter.

If Texas beat K-State, they would definitely rise in the polls. Seems to me like it would help Clemson's BCS chances for K-State to beat Texas and for TCU to beat Oklahoma just to make it only one from the Big 12 (10).
