but I don't think it would have been morally wrong for the replay official to let the play stand as called on the field when Watson was tackled by his face mask towards the end of the game. All you would have been doing is giving Clemson what they should have had, a 1st Down.

that's the problem, I think it was fairly evident the officials were not going to do anything to "help" Clemson last night. in fact, it could be argued they did a lot to hurt us instead

coaches to be allowed to stop play to challenge a no-call I guess (although I would still allow it given the limited number of challenges). But if a play is already being reviewed and a non-called penalty jumps out in the replay like that facemask against DW, why not allow it to be called? There would be no additional stoppage of the game.

He cannot take the heat for the field guys missing a call.
