My coot friend said today that they have 3 National Championships to our 2 in the three major sports... I guess they consider wimmins basketball a major sport in dirtpeckerville...

So I'd say it's 4-3 Clemson
Honestly I don't think either of them qualify so we'll have to settle for a tie until we win the next one in football or the first one in baseball.
I'm pretty sure our next one will come before they get another one.

They have 0 majors. Baseball and WBB are considered minor sports. Is that correct ?

But my ranking as to how much I'd care/brag about winning the title:
1) football
[small but real gap]
2) men's basketball
[larger gap]
3) baseball
4) soccer
[very large gap]
5) women's basketball
6) softball
7) golf
[I have no idea how big of a gap, but I don't much follow/notice these]
8) track
9) volleyball
10) tennis
11) swimming
12) diving
13) crew
[might as well include them]
14) concrete canoe
I just can't imagine that *mos*t people would celebrate/care about winning the title in women's basketball on the same level as soccer, but to each their own.

accurate list but most of america would put a large gap between MBB and FB as well. There is no comparison in revenue.

From what I can tell both the WBB and MBB teams at USuC have abandoned ship after their latest performance. They got what they wanted and now they are leaving the dumpster fire they call a university in Cola. Go Tigers

major ports versus minor sports, outside of the obvious few, are a matter of opinion... whether you think women's b-ball is more important than golf or soccer. What really matters, IMHO, on a collegiate level is whether the sports is recognized and sanctioned by the NCAA. There are some smaller associations that sanction sports like equestrian and beach volleyball, but to me those really don't "count" because there are so few schools that actually field teams.
As far as NCAA sports where Clemson has won National Championships, Clemson leads SCar 5-4.
2 in football, 1 golf, 2 soccer.
Coots can claim 2 in baseball, 1 in women's b-ball, and 1 in women's track and field.
Bass fishing and horsey riding are fun, I'm sure, but their Natty's mean nothing.
