Socially we are setting a dangerous precedent of "suspending" life any time there is a threat in the future. My opinion is that this precedent will be invoked for less severe reasons more frequently going forward.

Kind of like how it used to be a big deal for a snow day at school. Now they close school days before a weather event could possibly happen. All in the name of erring on side of safety.

It's like terrorism, natural disasters, or other crises, we cant let this control our way of life.

Idk if I agree with that. I doubt it does. People know the loss it causes and the enormous economic toll it will be... But that lets you know just how serious this thing is.

No known cure. Healthy people dying. No one knows how serious this is. The big thing seems to be there is no meds that seem to affect with any certainty.

I have been amazed at the total overreaction to coronavirus ... I am old - and have seen a lot - but this is very surprising ...
