Hypothetical PLAYOFF Scenario...
Nov 9, 2018, 6:56 AM

Though very unlikely, there is a possibility that could play out that would be a worst case scenario for the committee.
What if the season ends with... 13-0 Clemson (ACC CHAMPION) 12-1 Georgia (SEC CHAMPION) 12-1 Michigan (BIG CHAMPION) 12-1 Oklahoma (Big 12 CHAMPION) 12-0 Notre Dame 12-1 Alabama
Who are the 4 and who gets left out in this situation? Lots of potential for controversy towards the committee.

Clemson, ND, Ugay and Bama in that order. We dispatch bama without issue then blow Ugay up.
That's not going to happen. Ugay isn't going to beat Bama. It ain't happening.
Bama, Clemson, ND and UM win out. ESPiN is full of horsechit.

I think the only option the committee would have is:
1. Alabama (Because they are in the SEC) 2. Alabama (Because they have Tua) 3. Alabama (Because they won last year) 4. Alabama (ESPN bias)
Seriously though, interesting scenario I personally hope happens.

Don't think that happens, but if it did, it would be pretty

hard to justify putting Bama in ahead of one loss B10 champ Michigan. Now, if OhSt wins out, maybe Bama gets in, instead of OhSt, just going on the "eye test". But then, OK would probably be ahead of OhSt, anyway.
Some forget that last year, Bama got in ahead of OhSt, but OhSt had 2 losses and one was terrible.

Tough to say because it'll depend on how the teams looked throughout the final weeks of the season. -Like did the UGA win over Alabama end up being close or a blow out? -Did Notre Dame struggle during their wins? QB still injured? -Was Michigan's win over Ohio State a win over a 10-1 or 9-2 Ohio State team (close? blowout?) -Did Oklahoma's win over @West Virginia carry a lot of weight? -Did one of these teams win because of some fluky hail mary or lose because of some crazy kick-6 etc? And so on...

It should be: Clemson ND Michigan Georgia But the committee, ESPN and others worship the SEC and are afraid if Saban so either Michigan or ND are out and Alabama is in.

Let’s see how Nick and his Network spin it. Last year was easier as Big 10 Champ had 2 losses.
This situation would have Big10 Champ w it’s only loss on the road in 1st game of year to the #3 team.

Is the way it should be. Although Oklahoma will have beaten WV twice so the Big 12 will ##### bluebirds if left out. No way Bama should be in over any 1-loss conference champ.

If Georgia were to defeat Alabama, the best team to ever grace the green grass of the gridiron, all of the expert pundits would be in meltdown. The playoff would have to be postponed until they were to recover, during which time they would give us 2,429 reasons why it happened and Alabama was still No. 1 and on a higher plateau than all other schools.
I still think the final four will be, in order; Alabama. Clemson, Notre Dame and Michigan.

You should just look at 3 teams, because Bama could lose the next 4 games and still get in.
That said: Bama CLEMSON Michigan ND
Bama gets to slaughter ND with their 2's and 3's, and we have to beat UM before having to play Bama again. The CFPC is already working out the details.

Here you go!!
13-0 Clemson (ACC CHAMPION) - In, Undefeated and would go in as #1 seed though.
12-1 Georgia (SEC CHAMPION) - In, defeated #1 team & earned it. Only lose mid season, on the road to ranked LSU (which would be viewed more favorably than OU's loss to Texas). Would be ranked #3.
12-1 Michigan (BIG CHAMPION) - In. Won 12 in a row. Only loss to #2 ND first week of season, on the road, pushes them in. Would be ranked #4 and play Clemson.
12-0 Notre Dame - In. Would move to #2. Undefeated record, solid resume. Would play UGA.
12-1 Oklahoma (Big 12 CHAMPION) - Out.
12-1 Alabama - Out. Should have won their conference game. Better to lose early. Plus, weak schedule doesn't help.

The tide would have to lose 2 games to not be in. N.D. Definitely goes in over Michigan.

think Michigan has the best Defense. Which if not true, actually is very close. I think they would chose that.

I'm hoping for this.
-Auburn beats Georgia -Georgia beats Alabama in the SEC Championship game -Georgia gets left out because of two losses -Bama gets left out because of losing to a two loss team and no conference championship -No SEC team including the coots daddy is in the playoffs
I would laugh my a$$ off.
