How often does a coordinator w/o HC experience ever pan out?

I'm guessing it's fairly rare that a great coordinator be it offensive or defensive equates a great HC. My suggestion would be for FSU to leave our coordinators out if it and have some balls...hire their WR coach!

I would think most existing head coaches were coordinators at some point. So...often.

Can’t help but get in on this conversations. If memory serves me correctly Danny Ford was not a coordinator either. Maybe the should get a Bama graduate to coach their team.

Lincoln Riley, Kirby, and Mario Cristobol in the top 10. The guy at Ohio St as well.

Throw in the guys who had success at their first stop and have climbed the ladder and the list is quite long
