How did Louisville give us a game?

Oct 30, 2015, 8:26 PM

Have we really gotten that much better since the beginning of the year?

They are terrible!

We were the game that they'd been pointing to since Feb.***

I don't know, man. They're kind of a mess.

Oct 30, 2015, 9:03 PM

I expected to see them bounce back and make a bowl game, but they just aren't improving as the year goes on.

Short work week. At Louisville. They blew their wad against us.

They were at home, which will give the home team an advantage. Also short week, both teams, but Louisville didn't have to travel which also helps.

Make no mistake, they are way better than this debacle. Second half will be much different after Petrino rips 'em a new ########.

Playing at Wake is like a trip to the Bermuda Triangle.

Oct 30, 2015, 8:42 PM

Weird stuff happens. I was there last year. Just strange stuff.

Just use the narrative eSECpn uses

Oct 30, 2015, 9:02 PM

when discussing the EsecPN. The conference is strong from top to bottom. It's a tough conference. If you say it enough.... The masses will buy it.

I think we've gotten wayyy better...

Oct 30, 2015, 9:05 PM

I'd compare it to 2010 Auburn or last years Ohio State. Both struggled early but went on a huge roll late.

Except Clemson didn't struggle early***

Re: Except Clemson didn't struggle early***

Our struggle was the UL game. By struggle I just mean we didn't play to our potential. I think that's pretty obvious now.

Re: Except Clemson didn't struggle early***

Actually, they should not have scored an offensive TD. Their one offensive TD was given to them by the refs on that STUPID hands to the face call on Shaq. Their other TD was a kickoff return.

It was just our second game without Mike Williams

Oct 30, 2015, 9:54 PM

and we were playing on a short week. We've improved a good bit since then.

Re: How did Louisville give us a game?

Oct 30, 2015, 10:17 PM

This is hard to watch. I went to a high school game tonight and it was a better game than Wake vs UL. When you add Mac Brown's commentary to the equation, it is slow torture.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Was a short week for us...

Oct 30, 2015, 10:18 PM

...and 1st away game. Watson was still finding his rhythm...had only played the first half of the Wofford and App St game.

Yes we would truck Louisville now.

Re: Was a short week for us...

Oct 30, 2015, 10:20 PM

It really should have been 20-6. Refs gave them a TD and we gave up a KO return.
