Thank goodness Dabo knows better.

is our future. Stoudt is a great passer. TB is a good runner. Voila! TB would be a better fit in the pros as a runner. The NFL doesn't tolerate too many bad days as a QB

Yep - that guy. But in the NFL, it's all about "now"

Oct 25, 2013, 4:19 PM

"What have you done for me lately". This year he is terrible. Pretty much equal with Matt Schaub. Speaking honestly, his past performances and the name on the back of his jersey are the only reasons he's still a starter. ANY other QB would have been benched.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Believe me, Eli didn't all of a sudden become a bad QB.

Oct 25, 2013, 4:21 PM

That whole team is bad.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's true...

Oct 25, 2013, 4:26 PM

But he's the one throwing the picks. And there are plenty of great QBs playing for crappy teams that do way better than what we're seeing this year. I like both Mannings, I really do. But every week, I become more confused as to what has happened to them/him - I can't ever remember a more colossal meltdown. But I digress - this is a Tiger forum. Tajh is our man, and he had a bad game. Name an athlete that doesn't, or hasn't. And a game does not a season make. I'll wait until after the season before I critique him. After all, we're talking about the holder of pretty much every ACC QB record on the books - and there's a lot of big names he's overthrown on that list of records.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'd love to see Peyton behind that OL***

If we can get Tyshon Dye and Wayne Gallman to put on 10-15 between now and next season we'll be rocking

Oct 26, 2013, 12:16 AM [ in reply to Re: Rats, were screwed next year*** ]

Unless Boyd gets hurt. Kelly is the starter next year. You have to be able to run in this offense and Stoudt can't, also as skinny as he is, he wouldn't last

I think we will continue to have problems until we get stability in the QB position. That is the bottom line

Re: Deer Dabo

Oct 26, 2013, 7:17 AM

If it was left up to me, I've benched TB after the second
interception. He tried to hit the receivers doubled or tripled covered. Stoudt could've used the live experience
and reps with the first team.

tempting but an unwise decision

Oct 26, 2013, 7:24 AM

When your QB is on the ropes and struggling one of the last things to do as a coach is pull him. Doing THAT communicates that you've lost faith in him. I can't think of a better way to crush a young mans spirit who is already having a tough time. It may motivate him to come back stronger but that approach is too harsh. Best to let him learn how to fight his way out of it. It's better for him.

To me keeping TB in the game did not help his confidence any
and he ended up with a sore knee.
