Having Co-OC's is a no win

Dec 3, 2014, 12:56 AM

scenario in some ways.

You could have two good coaches but it's a disaster from the get go and you likely fire one or both.

Or, you could have two good coaches and it works really well, but one of the two (or both) will eventually become disatisfied with being a Co-OC and want sole responsibility. The only way to do that is to is to take responsibilty away from the other which causes that one to go somwhere else.

Either way, you lose one or two good coaches.

trust in Dabo

I said the same thing when he hired an OC with only one year college coaching experience. Dabo knows what he is doing

Jeff Scott will handle oc duties. Tony got a title and a raise. No 2 headed monster. Rumph is a co-dc with venables? How ya like our defense?

I think you meant Hobby, not Rumph.

Venables is the DC and Hobby is the Co DC which means he's basically the Assistant DC. There's a clear chain of authority there. Venables is over Hobby.

Scott and Elliott are both Co-OC's which means they have equal authority. Who's the final decision maker on the offensive side of ball besides Dabo?

That set-up only creates confusion.

this is the difference between a 45 pulse and a 70 pulse

lol

Just confusion with those trying to find confusion.

Guarantee one answers to the other and both answer to Dabo.Just because Dabo didn't spell it out for us, they both know who's in charge.

Didn't we have co- starters at qb this year. Look how that worked out. Oh wait...

announcement wouldn't have come down so quickly. If you think these guys haven't sat down and gotten a clear grasp on exactly what each of them will do you are crazy. It's amazing what people on this board can concoct just to have something to complain about.

It's called a contingency plan

Dec 3, 2014, 7:02 AM

From the moment Morris started setting all those offensive records, Dabo has had a plan in place.
