Have to beat UGA or risk getting left out of CFP...

Beyond UGA, this schedule is weak. I wish we could stick with the non-divisional ACC format and go to 9 conference games.

Nah. Win the ACC. Plenty of time to crawl back in it. Heck Clemson has gotten in with upset losses to Syracuse and Pitt before. I don't see an only loss to UGA hurting.

How would an extra ACC game help our schedule?
The schedule next year isn't really any different than the schedule this past season.
Play 1 good team in Notre Dame (UGA in '21) and lose and then get a chance to play a 2nd good team in the ACC title game.
If we win the ACC championship as a team whose only loss came the first weekend in September, we will be in the playoff without a doubt.
Miami and UNC both avoid Clemson on the schedule, so it is likely that the winner of that game enters the ACC title game in the top 15 at least and serves as a quality opponent in Charlotte.

Naw, play each game, win, and don't worry about the rest.
Plus, you never know when a Cuse/Louisville puts together a decent season.
Heck, even UCONN has MORE conference championships in the past 15 years than Jawja!!!!! And they ain't even in a conference no more! Lol.

Not gonna happen but if it did, as long as we win out we’ll be in.

I think if we were to get smoked by UGA and have a couple wobbly wins, we would still make it in with one loss. Plenty of time to climb back up the rankings and we’ll be starting out very high.

We aren’t getting in with one loss next year no matter who it’s to if:
We can’t run the ball at will
The defense gets shredded for half of three different games
We continue stupid trends like giving up 3 blocked field goals in one game and handing the ball to defenders for TDs heading the other way while on offense
We don’t develop real 300+ lb beef and depth on the DL
Each of these represents a trend AWAY from what got us to the playoffs before this last weird year.
