Go back a watch Watson's mechanics and throws on his TD drive and tell me Stoudtshould be starting. Making him the starter back in the spring was stupid. Nothing against Stoudt but we got this thing backwards Clemson. Go tigers!

onslaught that the Georgia brought blitz-package wise.
The blame is not entirely on Cole, the OL, or the Chad, but there's no reason why there were so many 3 and outs in a row in the 3rd/4th quarters.
I was surprised Watson wasn't given more time when Cole was completely nullified but it's not feasible to have expected much more from the coaches in his first game against a great Georgia squad.

I think it would be more correct to say that Morris is not prepared for Pruitt. He has done pitifully the last two times they met.

there were a lot on mistakes on offense in the second half, and few were by our QB's
Assume we started Watson in the second half, the outcome would likely have been the same, then we would have a young freshman qb hanging his head along with the senior feeling slighted. This would be a legit QB controversy.

The only mechanics I know anything about are in NASCAR. Don't confuse me with football terms.

Maybe, just maybe, Watson doesn't know all the plays yet. They put him in with a few plays that he is comfortable with, and he looks great with THOSE plays. But if he had to play a whole game, he would fail because he doesn't have ALL of Chad Morris's playbook down. If he did, he would be the starter.
There is always a reason why. That's the coaches job. They don't have to divulge the reasons.

Chad Morris' Playbook is huge. It took Boyd years to master it. Just because he was conservative in one game doesn't mean that will be the trend. It was ONE game in a hostile environment. Get over it. I am sure the team already is.

Although everyone is questioning Dabo after one loss. Has the most successful three years of Clemson football in the past 20 years not convinced you that Dabo knows what he's doing, and he doesn't have to tell you everything. He doesn't start Watson, there's a reason. He dismisses a player, there's a reason. He is just tight lipped. It's part of what makes him a great player's coach.

I love Dabo, I love our coaching staff, I love Clemson football. I'm no coach but I just think we jumped th gun naming Cole as the starter, Watson has played in this system since he was a freshman in HS that came out of Dabo's mouth. I'm sure he knows the play book fairly well also so that's a weak argument. Cole just lacks the leadership qualities of a starting QB, and this is a team that is lacking that leadership or else we wouldn't be kicking players off the team or losing players right before the game opener to go somewhere else to play. Remember it was Davis that convinced Spiller to stay not a coach. We need leadership, and i just think Watson has IT.

Dabo and Morris have both gone on the record that when Watson is in there they do not have to hold back at all or alter the play calling. Dabo said it often.
