Play number 59 could be a season-changing play for Boyd
Offensive coordinator Chad Morris said Monday that quarterback Tajh Boyd struggled through the first 58 plays of Clemson's win over N.C. State last Thursday, but Boyd's demeanor changed on play number 59 and thinks it could be a season-changing play for the Tigers' signal caller. Full Story » |

going first to Sammy in first 50 plus plays on short passes when Bryant is open further down field. BIG! Now, Tajh knows if he throws it up there, Bryant will go and get it, like Nuk did last year! And that will get Sammy more open spots too! GO TIGERS!

ball like Nuk. Almost as if they both have reptile hands and as long as they have their hands on the ball the defender hasn't got a chance. Bryant proved that at least once. I bet he can repeat it too.

if the first team not playing together from August 31st to September 19th is part of the issue for why we were off, perhaps we should just roll with out starters against crappy teams until we are up big instead of breaking their rhythm.

Morris made the right decision letting Tajh play thru his funk. If it happens again, however, putting Cole in for a series might not be a bad approach. It would be interesting to see how he would perform in a real time situation. Go Tigers!

Play through "his funk?" How does he do that when when he has absoutely no blocking from his offensive line. Again, we have no credible OL. With the exception of Tyler Shatley, we have nothing on the OL. We just don't seem to be able to recruit top-flight linemen. And at what point do you consider a question at offensive line coach? Just my humble opinion.

Look at that picture and consider this.....

6"4", 4.30 speed and THAT type of vertical....
Theoretically, there should be no one in the country that can cover Martavis.
Provided Tahj has time and Martavis catches the ball, of course.

consistently he would be amazing. On most of his drops he's let the ball get into his body.

I agree. He has Nuk hands. But Sammy's hands aren't bad

either. Bryant just needs to be more consistent. He showed us at least once he can grab and hold like Nuk did.

NUK has NUK hands and NUK is the only WR I have seen NUK's size to do what NUK does!
I'd be more pronned to say M Bryant has the attributes to mimic Randy Moss.

Hate to say i told ya'll so

Just a couple if months i blogged about Boyd loosing confidence and fundamentals but ever Tnetter called me a coot for speaking honestly. I saw what Morris said on the sideline plus i coach high school QBs. Yes, his demeanor changed abit but he is still not scanning the field. Cole Stoutd did a great job of it during his cameo appearance. Thats how Morris offence is meant to go, take advantage of what the D gives you then move then chains.

Boyd suffered the same issues last year

the difference is that this year it hasn't lasted an entire game. Perhaps he has turned the corner in that respect.
