For gawd's sake...we should have blown out FSU for 4 qtrs...

Why spin it? FSU is a terrible 3 win team loaded with 4-5 star players who are poorly coached and have little discipline. I don't care that they were preseason #3 and I don't care that their name start with an F and ends in a U....they still have an S in the middle which stands for $hit.
49-17 would have been a more appropriate score with HJ playing for the final 8 minutes in the 4th qtr. If you guy can't see that we have to be a much better team to get past USuC, the Convicts and not embarrass ourselves in the CFP I don't know what to tell you. Maybe, the offense will wake up but right now...with 2 minutes left on the clock and needing a TD or even a FG is what's gonna break our hearts in the end.
GO TIGERS!

Yes, we should have, but didn't.
That's the problem...

I'm happy with the final score...but...

...this winning is not sustainable unless with make some improvements in the passing game. KB is the man, HJ is not the solution at this point in the season. How can the coaching staff help KB at this point? Or, we got what we got?

Seems like the DJ, during the 3rd quarter, starts playing

"Give it away, give it away, give it away now" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I've yet to catch it through the TV. Gotta be, because we seem to try to give it away around that time. Seems like we have a hard time playing a complete game the last few years, yet we keep managing to come up with the W's we need when we need them. I'd love to have stress free, solid wins every weekend, but a W is a W and I'm happy with that.
We have the team to win out - I've no doubt. Just gotta put it all together and be consistent.
Need to do a cover of that song that goes "Put it away, put it away, put it away now....."

Our offense certainly stagnated (again) for awhile,

I'll give you that, but I don't know if it's fair to say that we should've hammered FSU like that. They are now 3-6, but even post-Francois FSU has only been blown out once and that was that Friday night game up at BC. They lost to State by 6, Miami by 4, and Louisville by 3. They beat Duke, Cuse, and a pretty decent Wake team on the road.
And stop kidding yourself, South Carolina isn't much better than FSU. 69th vs 79th in S&P+. Only 8 spots different in FEI as well. It hasn't updated for this week yet, but i doubt that will change much.

Not only that, they are hungry after losing to us the last three years and tired of hearing about our recent natty. I sure as heck hope we blow them to kingdom come.
I don't think you should expect them to roll over and play dead.

We won't blow them out because our offense isn't

good enough to blow out a decent team right now, but we are good enough to control the game and win by a couple scores without a ton of drama, especially if we get some key players back from injury. Fortunately we have El Cid this week so we can probably afford to sit Lawrence, Joseph, Hyatt, etc.

FSU made 2 good offensive plays out of 56

one was a perfect 39 yard pass in triple coverage down to the 3 yard line (blind squirrel theory) - following a couple pass interference calls.
one was a 60 yard TD busted coverage on a trick play.
That's it. Nothing else over 20 yards. Pretty dominating. Our issue is that we should have been up 28-0 by the time they scored their first TD. The 2 redzone fumbles prevented that.
All of this grumbling is because of the 2 fumbles. ALL OF IT.
Here are the FSU drives (plays/yards/time): FSU 3-2 1:49 FSU 6-10 1:52
FSU 6-11 2:52 FSU 3-1 1:41 FSU 3-(-1) 1:29 FSU 5-23 1:08 FSU 8-50 4:36 (this was their 4th down fail at the 30) FSU 3-0 0:26 FSU 7-90 3:38 TD (30 yds on 2 PIs, and a perfect 39 yard pass) FSU 3-(-4) 1:02 FSU 3-85 1:29 TD (60 yard bust TD) FSU 1-0 0:10
FSU 4-1 0:47 FSU 1-6 0:29

Largely agree, but they also barely missed on at least two

more deep shots that were wide open and probably should've gone for TDs.
And we probably don't score the first Etienne TD without the fumble. The fumble pinned FSU back at their own 3 and resulted in the Ray Ray punt return to their ~30. If we punch it in instead of fumbling that exchange never occurs. I think we should've been up about 21-0 at half.

If we didn't fumble inside the 5 twice we would have. We are fine. You act like Miami beat FSU so bad. Wasn't that a last possession game?
