Florida @ #8 proves preseason CFB ranking inadequate

and outdated method in projecting best teams. Of course, we love the celebrations that come with early team rankings but Florida cannot be a top 10 team. Unless everyone else is really <25. If Florida is truly #8, then Miami is truly no worse than #10.

But, in the end, only one team can stand at #1. Go TIGERS! :)

Neither team was disciplined.
It was like Spring practice. PENALTIES galore.
Florida needs to learn how to tackle and Tech needs to practice holding on to the ball.
What an ugly game but I was happy to watch college football.

Actually, it just further confirms what I've been thinking for months (since the CFP), that the SEC is ovah-rated. UF beat a weak Big 10 Michigan team in the bowl game, and they think they actually did something great. The SEC loves to play Big 10 teams that are no longer relevant.

Preseason ranking should be whatever the final rankings are from previous year. It’d be just as accurate as the current set up

bad when they open with a legit opponent in week 1. Auburn and Oregon will probably look bad next weekend.
