Who is everyone’s favorite player of all time non Clemson or South Carolina?
I would have to say Herschel Walker. Guy was a horse!

Possibly Travis Rudolph for his off field behavior setting a good example for all.

Yea Walker was great, but like Rogers, he never visited the Clemson end zone.

Desmond Howard, Raghib Ismail, Ed Reed, Michael Vick, Percy Harvin. More than one but those would be some hot spots for me.

From his first series to his last series, DW was just a growing legend. I think he is going to do the same in Houston. There have been so many transcendent players in college football and Clemson has had its share, but for me at least, DW stands out a bit from the pack because of what he has meant for my Tigers.

Agreed. I still feel bad that he felt like he needed to apologize in 2016. Even his bad games would’ve been dream games for some QBs!

Didn’t read OP that carefully evidently... ok, non Clemson guy, Vince Young was a wizard especially carving up the real USC, and Charlie Ward was amazing to watch, but I will go with Mike Vick. He’s still the most electrifying player I think I have ever seen.

Bo Hershal Tebow Charlie Ward
All were great players and as far as I know, great people. Also might add Warrick Dunn - not so much for his play (although he was great), but for his gesture to a young DW4.

Gave up football to fight for our country after the 9-11 attacks. Gave his life for our country. Probably stood up for the national anthem and the flag.

Heisman winner from Texas. MVP in NFL Rookie year. High end speed. Unlimited power. Human wrecking ball. Fearless. Best stiff arm ever. Intimidated DT's and MLB's. Gave DB's nightmares. Ran by Bum Phillips every play against stacked lines. Body was abused. Slowly took a toll. No RB ever brought that much power with speed.

didn't have the $$ to put up his nose

i knew a few wrestlers too, couple were kinda jerks who liked to start arguments and fights, trying to intimidate guys.. they used to mess with the football players a lot, but would not antagonize LT

My Dad ! Clemson Class of 1955.
[1]
Posted: Jun 29, 2018, 8:32 PM

|
My Dad wasn’t a football hero at Clemson, but he says proudly that he was good enough to keep his scholarship each year. Dad played in one of the first Shrine Bowls. He played a really good game in that Shrine Bowl and the following week he gets called to the Principals Office. My Dad walks in wondering what he may have done. Much to his surprise as he opens the door he sees sitting there in a chair, along with the Prncipal and his High School Football Coach is Frank Howard !
He gave my Dad his scholarship to come play for the Tigahs !

Marshall had some good teams at that time. Still not our worst lost at that time. I felt those WF losses were worst personally at the time.

Starting left guard and team co-captain for The Citadel. He threw two crucial crushing blocks against SCar. One to score the winning touchdown and another for a crucial 1st down. What a star! The fact the my daughter was his favorite babysitter has nothing to do with it.

Bo would be near the top . . . and even thought it's Clemson, Fridge would be next.
