He was suspended for last 4 games of this past season, he is doing what they are asking of him, and the staff will meet when they reconvene after a break soon to discuss his future. Seemed hopeful to have him back by spring.

This is one area that I think that Dabo separates himself from all college coaches. When one of his players steps to far across his acceptable line of acceptance. We don't see or hear much about that player until he has shown Dabo that he has accepted responsibility for his actions. If they aren't willing to change their direction, Dabo will announce without detail that they have agreed that its best for everybody concerned if who ever was released from their scholarship obligation. Dabo Swinney does not play around with discipline from a 5* to a 0* player even if it meant losing every game on schedule b/c of the loss of that player. There isn't any doubt that this is why we very seldom hear of any trouble coming from the Orange Paw neighborhood....

Absolutely right, and he is choosing the guys early on who, almost always, fit that mold. In Athens, GA, they have a "good man" as a coach, but he seems to recruit a lot of players who seem to stray from the straight and narrow. Seems to be a bit of a double standard. Oh, granted, eventually some of his prime choices are sent packing (kety word "eventually". Dabo seems to get guys, from the get go, who walk the walk and talk the talk. If they don't, they quickly are removed. It sends the right message, and he sets the right example for players, staff, and everybody associated with our program, what we are about. We do it right!

Why do you need to know what he did? What purpose would that fill? The main thing is that he seems to be getting his act together. Sometimes young guys just need a touch of reality to straighten out. This may make all the difference in this young man's future. Good for him and our coaching staff.

The only thing knowing the reason would do. It would only give a reason for Dabo to get criticized with a million individual personal opinions. That would be just as bad as having two people trying to cook the same thing from the same pot, it FKs it up!!!

Don't we have 87 kids on scholarship and need to cut two? We can't cut the Davis twins so what are we going to do?

Not at FSU unless you were humiliated in national press and forums and you could make your enabling coach do it in spite of himself. It wouldn't, however, happen at Clemson. We have a different culture.

What ever it was, hope it doesn't kill his career here. Young men make mistakes, Sammy did. I hope he gets it together stays on the team and has a breakout 2015!

Dabo gives all of our young men a 2nd chance to make the right choice for them. Its a 100% up to them to do it Dabo's way, or their way some where else. I have no problems with the way Dabo handles the disciplinary of our team. Some times Dabo's actions pissses us all off b/c we only think about the win. But has drawn a soft line in the sand to where he is willing to work through what ever with our players. Dabo's way won't be without consequences for the player if he has violated. Its a simple rule, Dabo's way. He is the boss, and he is consistent....
