Etienne and Barry Sanders

Not saying Travis is or will be on this level, but his explosiveness and humble demeanor has captured the hearts of Tiger fans. He will probably be a household name for college football fans across the country by October and I just can’t get some of the similarities between Travis and Barry Sanders out of my head. Just wanted to share this treasure of an article on Barry Sanders I read today. It’s a great article and embedded in it is his high school highlight film and a piece done on his ‘88 Heisman winning season. Who knows, maybe what escaped Deshaun will end up in the hands of a humble kid from Louisiana, who was underevaluated as a recruit and fortuitously ended up a Clemson Tiger instead of an LSU Tiger.

Great article, saw that this morning. It's amazing when they compared his 88 season to the best running game for players in CFB each week last year. Unbelievable.

Whoa - Barry Sanders??? Let's not make that leap yet. Dang, that's like leaping the Grand Canyon. Let's see what ETN can do now that the entire world knows how good he is and has tape on him to plan better. No team really knew what to expect last year.

Oklahoma State basically got Barry Sanders because nobody else knew anything about him. These days his highlight tapes would be viral and every coach in the entire country would be after him.

Well all we need is 20% of Barry in Travis and we good to go. Barry is my ALL TIME fav. Travis gonna get it in for us this year tho. I can feel it.
