ESPN wasted their money

Watching the game that I recorded. Impossible to hear or understand the commentators. I know the crowd was loud but is there no way to control the sound in the press box? Or was there some problem with the tv crew's audio? I've never noticed the sound being this bad before. I usually like to hear what the commentators have to say but, honestly, I wish there was just the game playing.

Are you watching the same game I did?

I didn't notice a substantial problem with that. Chris Fowler almost lost his voice by the end of that game but both he and Herbie were plenty clear.
Might be the TV or sound system from which you're watching it.

I've seen posts and tweets where other people said the same thing, so it wasn't just you. Sound was just fine on mine. May have been a common satellite or cable provider but I don't think it was espn. I have dish.

Do u have surround sound? When I use mine it's hard to hear because of the noise but when I use my phone or regular tv I can hear ok. It seems to depend on your system settings.

I have dish and at times I couldn't hear very good ., But the worse thing is the placement of the TV sound and the FSU band ., The tomahawk chant gets real old fast when its loud ., Move somebody ,. we need some relief

I DVRd the game using my DISH tailgater at the game. When we tried watching it last night, you couldn't hear anything they were saying over the crowd noise. But on the way home, we watched TigerRays YouTube version over Roku and you could hear just fine.

I had no problem with the audio portion of the game.Chris, and Kirk were loud, and clear. I will confess however that they were giving more kudos to FSU,but FSU was winning the ball game for the first half, and part of the 3rd quarter. Once Clemson got the lead, you could hear a shift in the comments being made about Clemson.

I am guessing there was an audio signal processing problem with your provider. I have AT&T and did not notice any audio issues.

Do you have a surround setup that's lost its center channel?

Maybe it was a provider problem. We have Atlantic Broadband. No, no surround sound. The interviews on the field at the half and after the game were loud and clear but we really couldn't hear anything during the game. Thanks for the comments.

Closed Caption, unless it's blocking too much of the game.

Me either. I keep the bass tuned down and raised the treble a little. I really need the cc with heavy British accents. Wot mate?

sounds like the crowd did you a favor...

commentators calling our games don't do a good job anyways. While I do think Herbie and Co. call a good game, hearing the crowd overpowering the broadcast really speaks to the volume of our stadium and the intensity of the home environment.

It happens to me each time the game is on ABC. The replay was just fine today but each game on ABC is you can hardly hear the commentators over the crowd and band noise. I am on DirecTV and wonder if that could be it.
